Gorilla Safaris Uganda and Rwanda!

 

 

The itenary

 

Day one
Arrive at Entebbe Airport where you will be transferred to Kampala for dinner and overnight by our professional driver/guide.


Day two
Drive Southwards from Kampala after breakfast. Stop over at the Equator for photographs. Then you will pass via Ankole region, where you will see the typical Ankole cattle, coffee plantations and the different landscapes of Uganda, up to the terraced and cultivated hills of Kigezi region, best known as “the Switzerland of Africa”. Kisoro is located within the area of the rain tropical forests at the borders between Uganda, Congo and Rwanda, at the foothills of Muhavura and other Vulcans. Dinner and overnight at Kisoro Tourist Hotel.


Day three
After an early breakfast prepare to go for the mountain gorilla tracking in Virunga National Park in Congo. After the briefing from the authorities of the park, set off for the trekking in the rain tropical forest searching for the habituated gorilla family. You can remain close to the beautiful primates for over one hour, for observation and photography. Make sure you carry with you packed lunch and water.
After the experience, proceed to Goma, for dinner and overnight.


Day four
After breakfast leave Goma for Bukavu. You will embark on the ferry boat for the navigation on Lake Kivu. You reach Bukavu in the evening for dinner and overnight.


Day five
Early morning you enter Kausi Biega National Park for tracking the Gorilla a Graueri, best known as the low land gorilla.
After the trekking you come back to Bukavu for relax, dinner and overnight.


Day six
After breakfast, use the morning for leisure. After lunch you will take the ferry boat for returning to Goma for dinner and overnight.


Day seven
After breakfast return to Uganda from Congo, stop over at  the beautiful Lake Bunyonyi, one of the most attractive scenery in Uganda. After lunch at Arcadia Cottages, you can have a boat ride along the Lake to explore the sites of the Bakiga culture and for amazing bird watching. Dinner and overnight at Arcadia Cottages, where you enjoy the best panoramic view on the Lake.


Day eight
After breakfast, return to Kampala. Possible transfer to Entebbe for evening flights. Dinner and overnight in Kampala. Optional activity: stop over at Lake Mburo National Park for game drive in search of antelope species, impalas, zebras and birds.


Day Nine
