Safari Details

Day 1
On arrival at Kigali International Airport will be welcomed by our representative who will transfer you to the hotel, or alternatively if arrival is at Entebbe airport will be transferred to the hotel in Kampala for dinner/ overnight.

Day 2

Early morning breakfast, leave Kigali / Entebbe proceed to Ruhengeri, Parc National des Volcans the place for gorilla tracking. On your way enjoy the beautiful scenery and vegetation. Dinner/ overnight at Kinigi Guest House or Gorilla Nest Camp.

Day 3

For mountain gorilla tracking safari in the tropical rain forest of Parc National des Volcans.The activity is adventurous, challenging and the time spent to see the gorillas depends on their movements. Though seeing them is awesome and a rewarding experience. Ensure you carry packed lunch and enough drinking water. After spending time with the gorillas return to the hotel for relaxation, dinner and overnight.

 

Day 4
After breakfast proceed to Gisenyi a beautiful town located on Lake Kivu one of Rwanda’s deepest fresh water lakes with beautiful beaches and islands, a great moment to relax and enjoy the breeze. Overnight at Serena Kivu hotel or Palm Beach hotel.

Day 5
In the morning leave Kivu for Nyungwe national park a true rain forest. On your way enjoy the panoramic view. Overnight at ORTPN Guest house.

Day 6
Primate trekking in Nyungwe forest national park which inhabits more than thirteen primate species such as Ruwenzori colobus, silver monkey, red tailed monkey, crowned and vervet monkey, golden monkey, grey-checked mangabey, owl faced monkey among others. Bird watching with more than 280 bird species recorded like gigantic forest hornbills, great blue turaco and paradise flycatcher. Dinner and overnight at ORTPN Guest house.

Day 7

Early morning breakfast proceed to Kigali town having a stop over at the Murambi Genocide memorial site. Enjoy the Rwandan beautiful and neatly made handcrafts in Butare where you will have lunch. Before your arrival will visit the royal palace of the Mwami-Rwandan traditional king. Dinner and overnight at Kigali Serena hotel or Hotel Gorillas.

Day 8
In the morning proceed to Akagera national park along the Rwanda-Tanzania border. After lunch, go for a game drive and take the boat trip on Lake Iheme to see Nile crocodiles, abundant hippos and birdlife. On the game drive will see elephants, lions, giraffes, zebras, Impalas and various bird species. Overnight at Akagers Game Lodge or ORTPN Camping site.

Day 9
After breakfast will have a game drive as you drive out of the park proceeding to Uganda for dinner and overnight in mbarara.Alternatively drive to Kigali for dinner and overnight at Kigali Serena hotel or Hotel Gorillas.

Day 10
Reserved for departure either from Kigali or Entebbe International Airport.

End of Safari

This safari will take you through Parc National des Volcans.Nyungwe and Akagera national park, Kigali town thus a great opportunity to discover Rwanda’s attractions, gorilla tour, cultural and historical sites.
