This trip starts with L.Mburo National Park with a stop over at the equator ,proceed to the park for game viewing ,lunch, dinner and overnight at Rwonyo Camp.

Gorilla tracking in Bwindi is the major activity with four groups currently available for tourists. The activity can be challenging, therefore ensure fitness. Tracking experience in the jungle commences at 8:30am after the briefing.

Itinerary

Day 1
After breakfast drive southwestwards, having a stopover at the equator as you proceed to Lake Mburo National Park. It is the only national park with an entire lake which offers a refreshing atmosphere. The markedly different fauna to other parks makes it the best place to see zebras, gigantic eland antelope, topi and several acacia-associated birds. Game drive and boat ride on the wonderful Lake Mburo to see hippos and crocodiles. Overnight at Mihingo lodge or Rwonyo Camp.FB.

Day 2
After a morning game drive head to Bwindi Impenetrable National Park while enjoying the scenic view and terraced hills and valleys. It is a very thick forest with evergreen tall trees home to half of the world’s population of mountain gorillas. Overnight at gorilla resort or Buhoma Community Bandas.FB.

Day 3
Wonderful encounter with the gorillas. Wake up early for breakfast, head for briefing and registration by the guides. After,the rangers will take you to the forest for the activity.please ensure you have good tracking shoes as you walk through the undergrowth while listening and waiting to see the most exciting gentle giants grumbling to each other.

When you come back early from the tracking, in the evening can take a village guided walk to see traditional dancers and other community activities. Overnight at gorilla resort or buhoma community bandas.FB.

Day 4
Leave bwindi to Bunyonyi where you will have lunch. In the afternoon go for the boat ride which depends on the weather, enjoy the beautiful panoramic view. Overnight at Arcadia cottages or Habuharo or Bushara Island on full board basis.

Day 5
After breakfast go bird watching, nature walk in the morning. Drive back to Kampala,have lunch enroute.
